The painting of the Amtrak station did NOT go well. Even after curing for a day, the stone effects paint that I was using for the lower walls rubbed off when I handled the model. I’ve stripped off most of it, and it looks like it will be most of a day’s work to remove the remainder from the corners and crevices (where it DID set properly - Murphy’s law).
Who said this hobby was about running trains?
Just picked up a pre-production version of a 1980’s vintage AMTRAK station from Dan Hoag at Eaglewings. I am going to spend some time this week repainting part of it and adding some details.
(I’ll post some additional pictures through the week as the project progresses.)
