I am going to have to take the local train next
time since I take the Acela from Newark NJ to
DC and back on occaiosion. I never even seen
one skinned Knee or bruised elbow.
Gotta watch out for those possible explosive devices randomly placed on the ROW! If that keeps up you're gonna need another Gov't Grant to further expand your RR Police Dept! Getting so's it costs more to protect the railroad from possible terrosts than it does to run it!
Was great having time to converse with you at the show!
The CD&StL plow crew was hanging out at Horstmann's Narrow Gauge Saloon when your pictures were posted. They just had another round, continued their checker game, and figured better your crews than them.
Following along with the plow construction is both informative and interesting.
As always, a great job with the photographs.
It's Saturday 19 January and we're under a winter storm watch. CD&StL personel that man the two plows are holed up at Horstmann's Narrow Gauge Saloon. They'll be ready to go should the storm hit. They may have to crawl to the equipment but that won't be the first time!
