Derailment on the Horsebucket & Bryantville RR

07/05/10 | by Raymond Jakabcin [mail] | Categories: Main category, Center Cab

A quiet day of running trains turned into a major project on the Horsebucket & Bryantville RR.

It started out as a normal day with New Haven Center Cab 529.5 taking the area residents for an excursion.

Normal Day

Rear of train

Its surprising what happens when an engineer falls asleep a log can become a major catastrophe!

A passing Canadian Pacific Geep stopped to ask if it could be of service.

The conductor listens to his orders….You want to do what?

Well lets just wait a minute here this must be a coordinated effort!

Geep 9 arrives

We need to work together.

With a little lift from an Air Force Helecopter and a little pull from Canadian Pacific’s Geep 9 the excursion is on the rails again!

Visiting the Lamentation Mountain & Pistol Creek RR

I’m always trying to get a photo in to the railroad calendars. this year I missed the LSOL deadline but actually made it into the BTO (Big Train Operators) calendar.

Although this is a blog on my railroad : The Horsebucket & Bryantville RR my railroad doesn’t have as many photogenic spots. Ed Bertina a guy in my club has a wonderful detailed railroad. The following are some of the pictures I took of my New Haven Genny on the Lamentation Mountain & Pistol Creek RR.

I had a great time doing the photography and really enjoyed the day.

A Model Of CCTGG

For those of you that check my blog …Thank You…I’m sorry I haven’t updated this as often as I should.

I saw this in the archives on LSOL and tried to duplicate it. It’s a model of the Central CT G Gaugers doing a train display. It’s a point to point in “Z” scale.

Central Ct G Gaugers in Miniature

I really enjoyed doing this…I used “Z” scale flextrack to fudge the curve because in reality it would be to sharp to actually run. I used mirrors in the tunnels so it looks as though the layout continues. Crazy New Haven guy Wayne :crazy:from my club actually painted a “Z” scale F-7 in the Mc Ginnis livery  you can just see it coming out of the tunnel.

Well, It’s that time of year again. I’ve been busy working on my new addition to the Central CT G Gaugers layout. It’s the Kiddieland Amusement Park, 88|

I hope to post some videos shortly. It’s been fun but has also added a lot of pressure as I race to finish everything. It will be a work in progress as I want to ad many more things to the park.

Stay Tuned……

It’s been so busy I’ve neglected my blog well now that the end of the year has come and gone perhaps I’ll have more time to “spruce ” up my blog.
